Hide your activities on the Internet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Someone may be watching your activities on the Internet.<\/p>\n

Your attacker can see the websites you have visited, but you can do certain things to hide your activities on the Internet.<\/p>\n

One way is to do searches on your work computer, at friends\u2019 houses or at the library.<\/p>\n

To hide your computer search activities, clear your browsing history. The search engine\u2019s cache and browsing history contain a list of the most recently visited web pages. Clearing the cache will delete the list of websites.<\/p>\n

Steps to take to clear your browsing history on various search engines<\/strong><\/p>\n

Google Chrome Search Engine<\/em><\/p>\n

To clear the history completely<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Chrome on your computer.<\/li>\n
  2. At the top right, click More .<\/li>\n
  3. Click History<\/strong>\u00a0History<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. On the left, click Clear browsing data<\/strong>. A dialogue box will appear. Click Clear data.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Use the drop-down menu to select the amount of data you want to delete. To clear everything, select All time<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To delete an item from your history<\/p>\n

    You can delete certain parts of your history.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Open Chrome on your computer.<\/li>\n
    2. At the top right, click More.<\/li>\n
    3. Click History<\/strong>\u00a0History<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    4. Check the box next to each item you want to remove from your history.<\/li>\n
    5. At the top right, click Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    6. Confirm by clicking Remove<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      To clear the history completely.<\/p>\n

      1. Open the Internet on your computer.<\/li>\n
      2. Locate the menu bar<\/li>\n
      3. Click the gear icon (tools)\u00a0and select Internet Options.<\/li>\n
      4. In the General tab, under Browsing History, click Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      5. Remember to click Apply<\/strong> before clicking OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
